If you are joyful shout it, and if you're down, don't give up! Elevate your mind, by elevating your thoughts with a powerful tool we use every day. Today in blog, I greet you with...WORDS and our use of them through language and vibrations. WORDS ARE MAGNETIC. Learn about WORDS, steer positivity into your heart and mind. And, remember, that every day is a new day to start over. So, wherever you are in this life, whatever your journey, dream, goal, and or vision, steer your thoughts through the creative use of words, guide them positively, for positive results.
WORDS
Words are the language of vibrations and energy. Alternatively, you could also say that words are the manifestation of one’s energy. It’s no wonder they carry so much weight and can move people like no other force. They can even influence the egregor or collective consciousness of a group of people with a common purpose, belief, or intention. Throughout history, some of the most powerful revolutions have been sparked just by a few words.
Now, if words have such a great influence, have you ever wondered what influences them? Well, if you observe people around you, you will realize that the words people use are often shaped and chiseled by their beliefs, cultures, traditions, experiences, and environment. This is why even the same word can have different meanings and understanding across languages and cultures.
For example, at a beautiful family birthday gathering the other day, I shared the words “farin mayi” which makes for a delicious cornmeal dish in Haiti. This all sounded wonderful to me but I found that the word “mayi” has not such a pleasing and delicious meaning within the Kikuyu tribal language of Kenya. You may further inquire into this word between these two cultures, perhaps you may have friends from both, and would make for an interesting conversation, to say the least. So, words can evoke either negative or positive reactions depending on the culture, tradition, experience, and other influences.
Another important factor that influences your words is your thoughts. I mean, words literally follow your thoughts. For instance, if you think of an idea, you will speak words that relate to that idea. The energy of that thought eventually forms into words, which, in turn, becomes the key to unlocking different doors of possibilities. So, it’s important to be mindful of your thoughts, which are shaped by many factors.
Being Aware of The Words You Use
If you think about it, language is just a tool we use every day to convey our thoughts using words. Therefore, understanding the meaning of the words you use and, more importantly, the types of words you use is super important. After all, they impact your very being.
So, take a pause within this moment of your life and ask yourself, “Are the words I use mostly uplifting, encouraging, freeing, and supportive? Do they guide others, bring confidence, foster resilience, convey love, and exude goodness?”
If the answer to the above is a no, then take a day to yourself and spend some time introspecting, to become aware… not to judge yourself, but to monitor your mind, words, emotional energy, and your overall aura. Try to see if you need to make any changes to elevate your energetic vibration. In so doing, you will be closer to the reaching of your goals or simply be more mindful, peaceful, and serene.
To drive the importance of words and their meanings even deeper into your head, you can do a little experiment. Try exposing yourself to an unknown language. Just choose any and try to watch a video of a person speaking that language. You could also ask a friend for help who speaks a second language that is unknown to you.
You will find that since you don’t understand this language, the words used by the speaker don’t incite the same emotions or understanding that would normally arise within you. You just don’t give the same reaction. Unless you are able to read facial and bodily expressions, nothing will make sense to you.
Therefore, it’s important to be aware of the types of words you use in your everyday life since they are tools of which you paint your days and your entire life. Also, try finding words that broaden the range of positive emotions you feel. Try using words that help to encourage your purpose, dreams, visions, and goals. You may use these positive words as affirmations and repeat them throughout the day to embody their positivity.
Food For Thought…
Words are often expressed and imposed as ideas and symbols. I am sure you are already well aware of this. In fact, the words that I write in my blogs carry personal and impersonal meanings. Personal, in the sense that they carry all of who I am, and my continued yearn for self knowledge. And they are as well impersonal, in the sense that my aim is to bring forth the breadth and depth of ways we live our lives already having our own definitions that we don’t delve into.
Therefore, it is for the reader to gain insight and seek their own meaningful definitions through actual definitions that we live by depending on where we are most influenced.
May you be greatly encouraged in the choice of your words… to not only benefit yourself but others as well.
Blessings,
Nougye.
