Recticular Activating System

Mind Body Potential: Ultimately, we are not passive recipients of life's events. The divine creator has equipped our minds and bodies for self-discovery.

Sharing a heartfelt message which reflects my deep appreciation for an individual who, in his humility, reassured me by saying, "God has you and will not send you into this world without all you need to know." Angels walk among us, right here. May you recognize yours and acknowledge their presence when they uplift you with their words. As I have never forgotten, may his path be as well shine before him by divine favor.

Today, in blog I present a thought-provoking question that holds great significance in my personal journey. This question encompasses a profound lesson that, until now, has been answered through introspection and structured learning. The question is as follows:

What holds meaning for you?

In other words, what is most prevalent in your immediate memory?

This does not necessarily exclude things that lie just beyond the boundaries of your memory or reside deep within your subconscious mind. It means that the thoughts associated with the memories that hold the greatest emotional relevance to you are the ones that readily come to your attention and shape your perception of life, and contributes to your results.

Now, why does this phenomenon occur?

I won't delve into the intricacies of the brain or mind as an expert, but I aim to shed light on this matter for our understanding. This newfound awareness will help us realize that the external world is not merely happening to us. There is an interplay between our thoughts and our minds that we should be mindful of.

Allow me to introduce a term that you may already be familiar with, or not: the Reticular Activating System, commonly known as R.A.S. Yes, your brain possesses a system that filters and highlights what is most relevant to your mental landscape.

I vividly recall a few years ago, when I yearned to comprehend the workings of our minds without possessing this knowledge. It now strikes me how this understanding has transformed my life. I am living proof that we possess incredible capabilities within our brains, yet we often remain unaware of them.

One particular memory stands out in my mind, which occurred during a visit to a group home while I was on a nursing route. The words spoken by a gentleman during that encounter are etched in my memory, and as I write this, I am still moved by the emotions they evoke. In the midst of a brief friendly conversation with staff, our aspirations in life came into play, and I mentioned my desire to become a lifecoach beyond nursing. This gentleman, whom I had met before, said, "You are a compassionate person, and you will achieve great things. But, God will not let you lead others without equipping you with all the knowledge you need." Amazingly enough, this was the last time I encountered him there.

This story holds deep meaning, and I am about to delve into its significance in R.A.S.(Recticular Activating System). Looking back, my life has transformed drastically from then to now. I have faced numerous challenges, gained valuable life lessons, shattered beliefs, revisited old wounds, assisted those in greater pain, confronted the struggles and anxieties of life, and engaged in more structured learning - all contributing to where I stand today.

Life and I have met head-on, and this shared narrative is closely tied to a now deeper understanding of R.A.S.And, no, this isn't to take the creator out of our accomplishments, it is to understand the magnificence of our equipment. Recently, I discussed this R.A.S. mechanism with a close friend and felt compelled to explore it through writing.

You can test this concept yourself. For instance, have you ever had a positive thought and suddenly noticed related opportunities or occurrences around you? As well, do you remember that after the purchase of your first car you could suddenly see all the same make, model, and color that you had previously not paid attention to. This is not mere coincidence - your brain is filtering what is significant to you through R.A.S., even if you were unaware of it until now. Our lack of self-awareness remains a significant obstacle.

Perhaps hearing about this from a prominent figure in social media, which I did from the likes of Tony Robbins, would make it more relatable to some. People willingly pay Robbins substantial amounts to impart this level of understanding, but I believe it is time for everyone to grasp this knowledge, regardless of financial means. I hope you find value in this free shared reading.

Ultimately, we are not passive recipients of life's events. The divine creator has equipped our minds and bodies for self-discovery.

You have the ability to focus on what holds significance for you, whether it be your goals or other aspects of your life. What you choose to concentrate on will be amplified. Therefore, it is important to shift your focus towards positive intentions that resonate with your true self, as dwelling on negative thoughts may attract negativity into your life through various channels. Remember, sometimes the negative serves a purpose by removing what no longer serves you. Trust that you are equipped with the necessary tools to navigate through life's challenges.

It is within your power to direct your attention towards what truly matters to you, such as your aspirations or personal growth. Your focus determines what you perceive in a magnified manner. Hence, it is advisable to channel your thoughts towards positive intentions that align with your authentic self, as dwelling on negativity may draw unfavorable circumstances and individuals into your life. Embrace the idea that you possess the strength to discern what is beneficial for your well-being and future.

You have the capacity to prioritize what is meaningful to you, whether it pertains to your objectives or personal development. Your focus has the ability to amplify certain aspects of your life. Therefore, it is essential to concentrate on positive intentions that resonate with your inner truth, as negative thoughts may attract unwanted energies and influences. Recognize that you are equipped with the necessary resources to navigate through challenges and embrace the support that surrounds you. Remember that everyone does not have to agree with you, your interactions helps to mirror what you need to challenge within yourself.

Thank you for reading as always. May your week be filled with blessings!

My favorite part because it's so true. One needs to experience both to fully appreciate this. Keep up the good work.
