Greetings! in great appreciation of your time and read. Once again, helping one another to grow our human wings and take flight through self knowledge. Let us as humans hold so diligently to our spirit, heart, and mind as is....the above beauty of a bird is held so gently.
This is a continuation a previous week’s blog on understanding the effects of mental images. In that blog post I wrote about how images are the lens of perceiving yourself and other people.
I also talked about the importance of knowing thyself. Well, we’ve heard this many times and in many places, haven’t we?
But have you wondered what this truly means for you? Or for us as humans? As a community? For humanity? For your friends, family, children?
The nature of our being is such that we question our way through life. And the gathered answers, filtered or unfiltered, become our reality.
If you think about it, this is a part of self-knowledge. It’s our attempt to understand reality and ourselves. We most often see children asking a great number of questions to identify objects and also to understand their place within this world.
Of course, the natural conclusion of this is that the information we gather fuels our mindset. And these gathered assumptions are influenced by many factors in our lives, even prior to our very birth, if I dare say so.
I hope you will appreciate the depth of understanding of how this forms your opinions of self and others, as well as the decisions you allow yourself to make or not make.
Through the lenses of our accumulated experience, interactions with others, as well as our mindset, we capture the essence of our days as images that we store within us. In particular, there is a remarkable interplay between the images and our mindset. These images, suffice it to say, become treasured within our being.
Therefore, it’s a good idea to consistently ask yourself these questions: Who am I? What have I become? Where does this all lead?
You may also ask questions like: Why do I struggle? Why does it feel like nothing works for me in my love, relationships, work, life, health, body, and so on?
And there are even bigger questions: Why do I feel stuck? Why does it feel like I don’t have a purpose or a clear direction in life?
I think, when it comes to “knowing thyself,” it is more important to analyze the information you’ve gathered than it is to gather it in the first place. Otherwise, it’s all becomes a storage of information, in your head and you never quite understand who you really are. And what greater tragedy can be than that?
Well, this blog is a great place to start in understanding how we all gather our bricks for living. Yes, I don’t forget the external influences of our petri dish of impressions of the external world. That is clear, but again, it is for me to reiterate the importance of understanding our mind to do our best to move as fluidly as possible… navigating the challenges with grace, and understanding what we ourselves are not yet able to change. After all, knowledge is our power and applied knowledge is our superpower.
I am thinking of offering a mini boot camp on “Mindset and Images: Positively Maximize Your External Results Through Self-Knowledge.” The aim of this boot camp is to help you understand how we form mindsets through images, vice versa, and their interactions within our lives. Feeling stuck is a feeling that I too have experienced. And if you’ve had this feeling, you’ll know it, or you’ve known it.
TAG my contact page to sign up if you would like to work with me on this MINI BOOT CAMP. A worthy investment!
Thank you again for the opportunity to share thoughts and for reading. Please like, subscribe, and comment. I appreciate your time.
